Why write under a different name?

 

My professional and academic career in health care science resulted in exciting research endeavors that sparked fact-driven journal articles, book chapters and speaking engagements.

 

A.R. Stevens uses that knowledge, but heightens the stakes for fictitious characters tasked with solving mysteries while on gripping adventures. At her home overlooking a beautifully variable lake-scape, with her trusty dog by her side and her husband perpetually preparing for their next adventure, A.R. is writing the second Dr. Briel Payce thriller.

 

My nom de plume is a management tool for separating the disparate ideologies of the two worlds I love to inhabit.
